Jerome O. Carter, MD
My name is Jerome Carter. I completed a bachelors degree in Chemistry with a minor in Biology from the University of Houston in 1995. After college, I then worked two years as a Chemist for Oxid Petrochemical Plant in Houston, TX.
My medical career began in 1995 as a volunteer in the emergency room at Hermann Hospital in Houston, TX. I was later accepted into the University of Alabama School of Medicine where I earned a MD degree in 2001. Internship was a one year medical surgical program based out of Lyndon B. Johnson county hospital. I then entered the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Program at the combined University of Texas/Baylor University Program that I completed in 2005.
I went directly into private practice with Pete Nguyen MD in Baytown, TX. After purchasing the practice from Pete Nguyen's estate, in the fall of 2006 I called upon my good friend from medical school Okezie Okezie MD who helped transform our practice to what it is today.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, weightlifting, jiu-jitsu, and attending live sporting and cultural events.
San Jancinto Methodist Hospital, Baytown.
